Too young to retire. Too experienced to sit still.
He decided he was too young to retire and watch TV all day, so he officially launched the lawncare business in April 2025. Yet, the truth is, he's been perfecting yards since high school.
A Lifetime of Hard Work
Before turning his lifelong passion for lawncare into a professional enterprise, he built a diverse and rugged resume. He worked as a petroleum industry technician on pipelines and offshore oil platforms, managed a tobacco store for three years, served as a railroad car-man for another three, and successfully started and ran an insurance agency for many years.
The Family Business
Family is at the center of everything. He is incredibly proud of his four children. His son, Justin, is the backbone of the lawncare business, bringing immense drive while also running two other businesses of his own. And then there's his wife of 44 years, Karen Evelyn. He can't say enough good things about her, though she jokingly sums up their long marriage perfectly:

Off The Clock
When he's not making lawns look immaculate, his burning desire is to make up for lost time and fish more often. He loves reading biographies of famous people, visiting his grandkids, and enjoying the simple things in life.
The Problem Solver
He has experience using his hands his whole life: petroleum industry technician, oilman, store manager, and railroad car-man. Even a certificate as an HVAC technician. He has solved problems his whole life.

He is the proud recipient of the BLUE RIBBON in the highly-competitive Paintsville Lake Watermelon Seed Spitting Contest. He can get you out of a sticky situation.
